Damask

African damask is a unique jacquard product based on extremely dense cotton fabrics of yarns from the finest Egyptian cotton.
It is produced in two classic versions. The first one is the African brocade, often called Bazin riche. In the basic design, patterns are woven directly into the fabric, white brocade can be dyed directly in production, or further in the targeted African countries.

The basic range of products is extended by adding special effects, these are for example:

– fabric with pearl effects
– broché effects
– combination of cotton yarn with polyester and viscose yar
– combination of woven effects with prints
– voiles with jacquard themes

Another variation of the African damask is an African voile, which is a touch softer and lighter than African brocade. These fabrics are usually not decorated with prints and there are also two versions, voile and luxury voile.
