Canvas shirting fabrics
This is the simplest basic bond since the weft thread gradually passes under the warp thread. This type of uniform bond creates fabrics called “grainy”. Both sides are identical, there is neither a back nor a face. Poplin and zephyr are examples of smooth fabrics.
